36 Licence holders' obligations—information received regarding permanent identification device

(1)

A licence holder, on receiving the information required to be provided to the licence holder under section 63I of the Act in relation to a permanent identification device, must examine the information and determine whether the identification number of the device is unique and contains no character errors.

(2)

A licence holder, on receiving the information required to be given under section 63G of the Act in relation to an implanted permanent identification device, must examine the information and determine whether the identification number of the device correctly links to the person to whom the device was sold or supplied for the purpose of implantation.

(3)

A licence holder must not use the information provided under section 63I(1)(b) of the Act for any commercial purpose other than for the purpose of providing an animal registry service.
