11 Qualifications and experience required for licensing in refrigerated air-conditioning work
The qualifications required to be able to be licensed to carry out refrigerated air-conditioning work under section 221M(1)(b)(i) of the Act are—
a Restricted electrical worker's licence (Class 2); and
the successful completion of—
the approved competency units for refrigerated air-conditioning work; and
(ii) the Authority's examination of licensing competencies for refrigerated air-conditioning work.
The experience required to be able to be licensed to carry out refrigerated air-conditioning work under section 221M(1)(b)(i) of the Act is—
at least 2 years of practical experience in refrigerated air-conditioning work and the successful completion of an apprenticeship under the supervision of a plumber who is licensed in refrigerated air-conditioning work; or
at least 6 years of practical experience in refrigerated air-conditioning work.
