45 Authority may approve competency units
For the purposes of this Part, the Authority may from time to time approve one or more competency units required to be completed in order to be eligible to apply for a licence or registration to carry out a class of plumbing work or a class of specialised plumbing work.
Despite subregulation (1), the competency units the Authority may approve must be contained in a Certificate II course or higher relating to a class of plumbing work or a class of specialised plumbing work.
The Authority may from time to time amend the competency units approved under subregulation (1) with respect to a class of plumbing work or a class of specialised plumbing work.
The Authority must publish in the Government Gazette—
an up-to-date list of the competency units approved under this regulation with respect to a class of plumbing work or a class of specialised plumbing work; and
the date that those units or amendments to those units come into effect.
