4 Qualifications and experience required for registration in fire protection work
The qualifications required to be able to be registered to carry out fire protection work under section 221O(1)(a) of the Act are the successful completion of—
a Certificate III course relating to plumbing that includes the approved competency units for fire protection work; and
the Authority's examination of registration competencies for fire protection work.
The experience required to be able to be registered to carry out fire protection work under section 221O(1)(a) of the Act is—
the successful completion of an apprenticeship under the supervision of a plumber who is licensed in fire protection work; or
at least 4 years of practical experience in fire protection work.
