17 Qualifications and experience required for licensing in Type B gasfitting work
The qualifications required to be able to be licensed to carry out Type B gasfitting work under section 221M(1)(b)(i) of the Act are—
a Restricted electrical worker's licence (Class 2); and
the successful completion of—
the approved competency units for Type B gasfitting work; and
the Authority's examination of licensing competencies for Type B gasfitting work.
The experience required to be able to be licensed to carry out Type B gasfitting work under section 221M(1)(b)(i) of the Act is at least 4 years of practical experience in Type B gasfitting work where at least 2 years of that experience was obtained—
under a provisional registration in Type B gasfitting work; and
under the supervision of a plumber who is licensed in Type B gasfitting work.
