18 Qualifications and experience required for registration in Type B gasfitting work
The qualifications required to be able to be registered to carry out Type B gasfitting work under section 221O(1)(a) of the Act are—
at a minimum, a Certificate III course that provides knowledge and competence in Type B gasfitting work; and
a Restricted electrical worker's licence (Class 2); and
the successful completion of—
the approved competency units for Type B gasfitting work; and
the Authority's examination of registration competencies for Type B gasfitting work.
The experience required to be able to be registered to carry out Type B gasfitting work under section 221O(1)(a) of the Act is at least 2 years of practical experience in Type B gasfitting work that is obtained—
under a provisional registration in Type B gasfitting work; and
under the supervision of a plumber who is licensed in Type B gasfitting work.
