5 Obligation to observe standards
(1)
A transmitter and a distributor must, so far as is reasonably practicable, ensure that electricity supplied by the transmitter or distributor to a customer’s electrical installations, as measured at the point of connection of those installations to the network, at all times complies with the standards prescribed by sections 6(2) and 7.
(2)
Subsection (1) does not apply to electricity supplied to a customer’s electrical installations if the cause of the non‑compliance —
(a)
is in those installations; or
(b)
is an act or omission of the customer.
