148ZK Continuation of operator approvals subject to renewal applications
This section applies if—
an applicant has applied for the renewal of an operator approval under section 148ZI(1) and Transport for NSW has not decided the application before the expiry of the approval, or
Transport for NSW accepts, under section 148ZI(2), an application for the renewal of an operator approval from an applicant after the expiry of the approval.
Despite section 148ZC(2)(b)—
for an operator approval referred to in subsection (1)(a)—the approval continues in effect from the date of the expiry of the approval until Transport for NSW gives the applicant notice of Transport for NSW’s decision on the application for renewal under section 148ZJ(5), or
for an operator approval referred to in subsection (1)(b)—the approval is taken to have continued in effect from the date of the expiry of the approval and continues in effect until Transport for NSW gives the applicant notice of Transport for NSW’s decision on the application for renewal under section 148ZJ(5).
