304E Meaning of operating, touching and ongoing activity
In this Part, operating in relation to a device includes—
touching the device; and
using a function on the device (other than by touching the device); and
permitting ongoing activity on the device.
In this Part, touching in relation to a device means (whether or not the device is on or operating)—
directly manipulating the device with a hand, finger or stylus; or
other physical contact between the device and a person or an implement held by a person.
In this Part, ongoing activity in relation to a device means activity on the device that is caused by—
the earlier use of a function on the device by a person; or
a function performed automatically by the device.
