402 Giving way to stock
If a give way to stock sign similar to Diagram 1 applies to a length of road, a driver of a vehicle must take such action as is reasonably necessary to avoid a collision with any animal under control on the length of road.

A give way to stock sign applies to the length of road beginning at the sign and ending at the distance from the sign indicated on the sign.
If a give way to stock sign similar to Diagram 2 applies to a place on the road, a driver of a vehicle who is approaching or passes the sign must take such action as is reasonably necessary to avoid a collision with any animal under control at or near the sign.
- 5 penalty units.
