3.10 Partners, joint ventures and firms
If 2 or more persons carry on business as partners or a joint venture (including a business registered in the name of one person), a proceeding may be commenced by or against a person in the name of—
the firm or other partnership of which the person was a partner when the cause of action accrued; or
the joint venture in which the person was carrying on business when the cause of action accrued.
Subrule (1) applies regardless of whether a person commences a proceeding against, or a proceeding is commenced against a person by—
a partner of the same firm or other partnership; or
another person carrying on business in the same joint venture; or
a partner of another firm or other partnership that is also a partner of the same firm or other partnership.
