Service by principal registrar

Rule 7.03(1) substituted by S.R. No. 143/2025 rule 35.

(1)

This Rule applies if the principal registrar undertakes service under section 72(2)(a) of the Act of an application made under—

(a)

the Aged Care Restrictive Practices Substitute Decision-maker Act 2024; or

(b)

the Guardianship and Administration Act 2019; or

(c)

the Medical Treatment Planning and Decisions Act 2016; or

(d)

the Powers of Attorney Act 2014; or

(e)

the Trustee Companies Act 1984; or

(f)

the Vexatious Proceedings Act 2014.

(1A)

Subject to any order of the Tribunal, a copy of the application must be served within 21 days after the application is lodged with the Tribunal.

(2)

The Tribunal may serve a copy of an application under section 72(2)(a) of the Act by electronic communication on a party or other person.
