82 Applications for transfer of licences
Subject to section 83, the Director has the same powers in relation to the approval of the transfer of a licence as the Director has in relation to the grant of a new licence of the same class.
An application for approval of the transfer of a licence must be made by the person wishing to hold the licence after the transfer.
The transfer of a licence —
shall be effected by an endorsement made on the licence by the Director, in the approved form, substituting the name of the transferee for that of the person who holds or has held the licence; and
takes effect on the date specified in that endorsement,
on an application for the approval of the proposed transfer being granted.
