12.33 When notices and other documents take effect
(1)
A notice or other document published, given or served for the purposes of a provision of this Act or the regulations takes effect on the day it is published, given or served or any later day that may be specified in the notice or other document.
(2)
Subsection (1) does not apply if another provision of this Act or the regulations provides for a notice or other document to take effect at a different time.
