Effect of forfeiture
7.11 Effect of forfeiture
When a holding is forfeited—
the land to which the holding relates (to the extent to which it is not Crown land) becomes Crown land, and
all money paid to the Crown in respect of the holding is forfeited.
Note.
See section 1.10 (When land becomes Crown land because of this Act).
Without limiting section 1.10, land that becomes Crown land because of this section is vested free of any estate conveyed by or related to the holding.
The forfeiture of a holding does not operate to release the holder from any obligation to comply with a condition or provision that, by its nature, is required to be complied with after the holding is forfeited.
