Crown Land Management Act 2016

The Minister may appoint new trustees on and from the repeal day to replace the trustees of institutional private trust land who have vacated office if—

the Minister is satisfied that all of the trustees have vacated office, and

the Minister causes a notice of the Minister’s intention to appoint new trustees to be displayed in a prominent place on the land (or a building on the land) for a period of at least 30 days, and

the notice of intention seeks written expressions of interest within the 30-day period from persons wishing to be appointed as trustees.

The Minister may (but need not) appoint a person who has expressed an interest in being appointed as a trustee.

This clause does not prevent the appointment of trustees or their vacation of office in accordance with the provisions of the trust or under the Trustee Act 1925.
