62 Coroner not bound by rules of evidence

(1)

A coroner holding an inquest is not bound by the rules of evidence and may be informed and conduct an inquest in any manner that the coroner reasonably thinks fit.

(2)

Parts II, IIA and III of the Evidence (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1958 do not apply to the Coroners Court.

Except as otherwise provided in this Act, the Evidence Act 2008 does not apply to the Coroners Court.
