29 Secretary may specify radiation safety standards
The Secretary must, in respect of every prescribed radiation source, specify the standard that must be met by the prescribed radiation source when it is tested by an approved tester.
On specifying a radiation safety standard, the Secretary must publish—
notice of that specification in the Government Gazette; and
the radiation safety standard on the Internet.
A radiation safety standard specified under this section takes effect on and from the date on which notice of its specification is published in the Government Gazette or a later date that is specified in the notice.
