Radiation Act 2005

Subject to Division 4, before entering any place in accordance with section 74(1)(a), an authorised officer must—

announce that he or she is an authorised officer under this Act and is authorised to enter that place; and

inform any person at the place of the purpose of the entry; and

give any person at the place an opportunity to allow that entry.

However, the authorised officer need not comply with subsection (1) if he or she believes on reasonable grounds that immediate entry to the place is needed to ensure the safety of any person.
