53 Period and date of expiry of renewed authority
(1)
An authority that is renewed under this Division—
(a)
may be renewed by the Secretary for a period not exceeding 3 years that is specified in the authority; and
(b)
expires on the date specified in the authority.
(2)
However, the Secretary may, in accordance with Division 3, cancel or suspend the authority before the period specified in the authority expires.
