201 Allowance payable to a GOE industry employee with a dependent spouse or dependent child
A State electricity entity must pay a locality allowance to its employee who—
is stationed at a centre for which a locality allowance is payable under a directive issued under the Public Service Act 2008; and
proves to the satisfaction of the employer that the employee has a dependent spouse or dependent child.
The locality allowance is payable—
for a full-time employee—at the appropriate rate set out in the directive; and
for a part-time employee—at a proportionate amount of the rate payable under paragraph (a).
Subsection (2) is subject to section 203.
An employee who is paid the locality allowance must notify the employer immediately an event affecting the entitlement to receive the allowance happens.
