QCA must—

prepare a written notice (the interim consultation notice) about the proposed distribution network code; and

publish the interim consultation notice on its website; and

give the interim consultation notice to anyone it reasonably believes will be interested in the proposed distribution network code.

The interim consultation notice must state—

where a document (the issues document) discussing interim issues for the proposed distribution network code may be inspected; and

a period (the interim consultation period) during which anyone may make written submissions to QCA about the issues.

The issues document may, but need not be, a draft of the proposed distribution network code.

The interim consultation period must be a period that is reasonable, having regard to the complexity of the interim issues.
