42 Declaration of share management fisheries
Schedule 1 specifies share management fisheries for the purposes of this Act.
The Governor may, by proclamation published on the NSW legislation website on the recommendation of the Minister, amend Schedule 1 by inserting or omitting the description of any fishery.
The Minister is required to recommend to the Governor that the description of a fishery be omitted from Schedule 1 if the management plan for the fishery has not commenced within 5 years after the description was inserted in Schedule 1.
Note.
The first management plan for a fishery cannot be made until the completion of environmental assessment—see section 7G.
