Industrial Relations Act 1996

The Regulations may make provision for or with respect to the amalgamation of State organisations.

Any such regulations may deal with any of the matters dealt with in Chapter 3 of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 of the Commonwealth in connection with the amalgamation of organisations registered under that Act. The regulations may adopt the provisions of that Chapter, with or without modification.

Until any such regulations are made, the provisions of Division 9 of Part 3 of Chapter 5 of the Industrial Relations Act 1991 (and the regulations under those provisions) apply to a State organisation as regulations made under this Division.
