Retirement Villages Act 1986

A vacating resident of a retirement village may request the person liable to pay the exit entitlement or a part of the exit entitlement of the vacating resident to make alternative accommodation payments for the provision of alternative accommodation to the resident.

A request under subsection (1)—

must be in the form approved by the Director; and

must set out the following—

the prescribed details of the alternative accommodation arrangements that the person making the request has entered into or proposes to enter into;

the date on which the person making the request has entered into or proposes to enter into the arrangements;

the amount of each alternative accommodation payment;

the date on which the first alternative accommodation payment becomes payable;

any other prescribed information.
