Retirement Villages Act 1986

The Director may make, amend or revoke model rules for residents committees.

Without limiting subsection (1), model rules may provide for any of the following matters—

the functions of residents committees;

the eligibility for membership of residents committees;

the requirements and procedures for the election of committee members;

the number of committee members;

voting and meeting procedures;

consultation about and approval of budgets;

the reporting of the deliberations of residents committees to residents.

The Director must cause a copy of any model rules or amendment of model rules to be published—

in the Government Gazette; and

on the Internet site of the Director.
