28 How result is decided
(1)
The way of deciding the result of a ballot is by a first-past-the-post system.
(2)
If only 1 office of the same type is to be filled in an election, the candidate with the most formal votes is elected.
(3)
If more than 1 office of the same type is to be filled, that number of candidates corresponding with the number of offices to be filled who have the most formal votes are elected.
(4)
This section is subject to sections 29 and 30.
