78 Notice of application
This section applies if an application for a proposed amalgamation is filed under section 61 or an application for a proposed withdrawal is filed under section 62.
For a proposed amalgamation, the commission must promptly give notice of the following matters to all members of the existing organisations the amalgamation is about—
the application;
an application for a community of interest declaration under section 53;
an application for a ballot exemption;
an application for an alternative ballot;
for an application mentioned in any of paragraphs (a) to (d)—a right to object to the application under this part.
A notice under subsection (2) must be—
given in a newspaper circulating throughout the State; and
published on the QIRC website.
For a proposed withdrawal, the commission must promptly give notice of the following matters to all constituent members—
the application;
an application for a ballot exemption;
an application for an alternative ballot;
for an application mentioned in any of paragraphs (a) to (c)—a right to object to the application under this part.
A notice under subsection (4) must be—
given in a newspaper circulating throughout the State; and
published on the QIRC website.
