43 Opportunity to be heard about rule changes—Act, ss 757 and 759
For sections 757(4) and 759(8) of the Act, the registrar must, for the purpose of giving an organisation and an affected reporting unit an opportunity to be heard on a matter—
fix a time and a place for a hearing on the matter; and
give the organisation and each reporting unit, at least 7 days before the hearing, a written notice stating—
the matter that is to be heard; and
the time and place for the hearing; and
that the organisation and an affected reporting unit have the right to make submissions to the registrar about the matter; and
how submissions may be made.
The organisation and an affected reporting unit may make submissions to the registrar by—
giving the registrar written submissions at least 2 days before the hearing; or
appearing at the hearing and making oral submissions.
