108 Purpose of pt 2
The purpose of this part is—
(a)
to facilitate the development of rail transport infrastructure by giving a person who is genuinely considering constructing a railway or the chief executive authorisation to enter land to enable the land’s potential and suitability as a rail corridor to be investigated; and
(b)
to safeguard the interests of owners and occupiers of land affected by the entry.
