71 Chief executive may take steps to prevent or deal with contravention
(1)
The chief executive may take reasonable and necessary steps to prevent, or protect the public from the consequences of, a person’s contravention of section 70.
(2)
If the chief executive takes steps under subsection (1), because a person contravenes or attempts to contravene section 70, the chief executive may recover from the person as a debt the reasonable costs of taking the steps.
