217 Duration and extension of covert search warrant
A covert search warrant is in force until the earlier of the following—
the day stated in the warrant;
when the initial search is complete.
However, the warrant may be extended from time to time on application.
The provisions of this division for an application for a warrant apply to an application for an extension, with necessary changes.
Despite the ending of the warrant under subsection (1), the police officer may continue to exercise powers under the warrant, but only to the extent necessary to return a thing seized under the warrant and taken to a place for a purpose mentioned in section 219(2)(a) or (b).
