586 Recovery of costs of seizure etc.
(1)
The State may recover as a debt owing to it the reasonable costs incurred by a police officer exercising powers under section 583.
(2)
Subsection (1) does not apply to costs incurred if, because of section 583(2)(b)(iv), a police officer impounds a motorbike under chapter 4.
Note—Chapter 4, part 6 makes provision about who is liable to pay the costs of removing and keeping a motorbike impounded because of the exercise of powers under this part.
