Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000

The Acts Interpretation Act 1954, section 39 applies to the service of documents on the provider of a social media platform or online social network or other entity whether the entity’s address is within or outside Queensland.

In this section—address means—

for an individual—the address of the place of residence or business of the individual; or

for a body corporate—the head office, a registered office or a principal office of the body corporate.
