Tracking device authorisation authorises use of existing device

In force

(1)

This section applies to a tracking device authorisation that authorises the use of a tracking device on premises, or in or on a vehicle, object or class of vehicle or object.

(2)

The tracking device authorisation also authorises the use of a device (an existing device) that is on the premises, or in or on the vehicle or object, or a vehicle or object of the class, as a tracking device.

(3)

This section applies—

(a)

whether or not it is necessary to do anything to or in relation to the existing device to enable it to be used as a tracking device; and

(b)

subject to any conditions of the tracking device authorisation.
