In this chapter, a reference to the installation of a surveillance device includes a reference to doing anything to or in relation to a device to enable it to be used as a surveillance device.Examples of things that may be done to or in relation to a device—

• installing hardware or software on the device

• connecting the device to another device using a wireless connection
