425 Requirements before excluding persons unreasonably interfering with questioning
This section applies if a police officer considers a friend, relative, lawyer, support person present during the questioning of a relevant person is unreasonably interfering with the questioning.
Before excluding the person from being present during questioning, the police officer must—
warn the person not to interfere with the questioning; and
give the person 1 further opportunity to stop unreasonably interfering with the questioning; and
tell the person that the person may be excluded from being present during the questioning if the person continues to interfere unreasonably with the questioning.
