Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000

For this chapter, a controlled operation in relation to a relevant offence is taken to be conducted in this jurisdiction, whether or not it is also conducted in another jurisdiction, if a participant in the operation is a law enforcement officer of this jurisdiction.

Note—This provision is intended to cover the situation where an officer of this jurisdiction is conducting an operation in another jurisdiction for the purposes of investigating an offence of this jurisdiction, for example, a Queensland officer is investigating a conspiracy to import drugs into Queensland from New South Wales, and the operation is to be conducted entirely in New South Wales.
