394A Methodologies for determining water volume and value
The regulations may prescribe methodologies by which a determination of the following may be made for the purposes of this Act—
a volume of water,
the value of water.
A prescribed methodology may be used to determine a volume of water if—
a provision of this Act or the regulations expressly provides for the use of a prescribed methodology, or
an actual measurement is unavailable, including due to the absence of metering equipment or a fault in metering equipment.
A prescribed methodology must be used to determine the value of water if a provision of this Act or the regulations expressly provides for the use of a prescribed methodology.
A methodology may be prescribed for—
one or more specific provisions of this Act or the regulations, or
all provisions of this Act and the regulations.
