738ZE Severability
(1)
Subsection (2) applies if a provision of—
(a)
this chapter; or
(b)
a transfer notice;
is held by a court or judge to be beyond power, invalid or unenforceable.
(2)
The provision is to be disregarded or severed and the court’s or judge’s decision does not affect the remaining provisions of this chapter or the transfer notice that continue to have effect.
(3)
This section does not affect the operation of the Acts Interpretation Act 1954, section 9 in any way.
