Water Act 2000

This section applies if the water access entitlement is regulated under an interim water resource plan.

No compensation is payable for a relevant reduction of 3% or less.

Compensation is payable for a relevant reduction of more than 3% over the 10-year period starting on the making of a water management plan under section 986J relating to the area for which the water access entitlement applies.

However, only one-third of the compensation payable for a relevant reduction of more than 3%, but not more than 6%, over the 10-year period is payable.

Also, only one-half of the compensation payable for a relevant reduction of more than 6% over the 10-year period is payable.
